"LES VALLEES ENGISSOISES" KENNEL

FRANCE

In the heart of the famous lorey Valley, famous for its castles and its goat cheese, the "Vallees Engissoises" Kennel has been founded in 1989. It is above all the audacious bet of a whole family that to want to live his(her,its) passion at all costs by snapping finger at the family generally, the friends... People had to adapater in our lifestyle. The friends who stayed are, unquestionably, those who were dearest to us. Those, who accepted us, such as we were with our qualities and our defaults. Others left even if for some it hurt us. We always privileged our relations) with our animals to those with the humans, quiet complicated , the most often!!! 20 years later, the composition of the family changed a lot  but the passion is always there. A little of tiredness to see certain  reactions, to meet certain persons but the passion is still  the strongest. Philippe, Nathalie and Maëva, their last daughter, continue, relentlessly, to defend THEIR breed, their convictions and to enjoy a peaceful existence surrounded with their 14 dogs,  even if the majority of our dogs are already very old ...
We are really passionated people. After the German shepherd, we have found by the pure hasard the Skye Terrier and we are really fond of it. We have a serious idea about what we like in type. We ask to a dog to be well bodied, to have good angulations, a good set of tail, a long neck, a perfect topline and a good temperament. The rule of the three "L" Long, Law and Level. We are driving a lot of kilometers in a year to show our dogs. We have valided about 50 titles of champion. Our first origins were French but we have understood quickly that we must import new blood to progress in now kennel. We are working with Thea Dalhbom (Finnsky Kennel) and Allan Chappell (Mariquita kennel) to try to have most perfect Skyes we can find. We prefer black Skyes ... Our two first foreign bitches  are CH Mariquita Braveadition who won the Cruft in 1998. In France she started to be shown in March 1999 and she became multi champion. Our second English bitch was Mariquita Flashporsche. A first show gave a place of best of the third group. She became multi champion as well. She won the Cruft in 2003 and became top CC bitch winner in UK in the same year. We are working in reproduction with a daughter of Rannoch Skye Superstar. She is even multi champion. She won the reserve at the world championship in Porto ( Sergio Montesinos).She is the mother of few multi champions. One of our famous male comes from Finnsky kennel. He's multi champion and it's actually the most title dog in France (9 titles). We don't product a lot because we don't want to be a puppy mill. When we have a litter it 's because we found an interesting wedding. We study a lot of bloodlines  and try to have a maximum of information of each dog who are in the pedigree.

 Selectionnated breeder by the French Canine Society, a such wonderfull award for 17 years of work for one breed : the Skye Terrier. Our priority is to breed some nice and beautifull dogs who will be able to bring to numerous families some happiness ...  We try to breed some dogs with a perfect character, our reproductive dogs have been selectionated for their wonderfull character. They are all well in their mind and you can see it ...

This tile is first grant by my dogs themselves, with whom I have a great complicity but also to the persons who are living with me everydays and who believe in me : my best friend Valérie, Emmanuelle and Maniie, my two other friends, my children, and after all my husband Philippe. I'm sad to constat that often, my husband is forgot however the affix of "Les Vallées Engissoises" has been created by Philippe and Nathalie DROCHON? together for more than 18 years ago ...

Our kennel works in connection with our Rescue Association "Rescue Skye" (Association with non lucrative ambitions) who try to help some Skye to find a new house when they lost their house in France or in all  the European Territories. It's true that we don't have enough time to spend a lot of time to our Rescue Association but if somewhere a Skye was in danger, we'll try to save it as we promised it to our bitch, Whimzy, the day of her death ... We are working with another Rescue Association A.S.T.E, and we trust them to follow our Rescue Engagement ...

Our kennel success during those last years is due to a strong selection of our pet's families. If one day one of our pups will be obliged to come back in our home, we'll take it back without any qsuestions. We believe that when we breed some dogs we must stay  present aduring all their life. we lived two terrible rescue Stories : Tome Pouss' and Tchin Tchin. Those two dogs came back in our home. Tome Pouss found a new house full of love and became a woderfull familly dog, for Tchin Tchin it was a tragedy, he was tooo dangerous to find a new familly and was not able to ba saved ... The education is the most important gift you can give to your pup, without a good education you might have a terrible wild dog who will do what he'll want when he'll want ...

Our dogs are known all over the world for their morphologic qualities, their good temperatment, and their beauty ... We exported our dogs in USA, FINLAND, and everywhere we'll have a request and haverepersentated our country during the last Skye Terrier Symposium in September 2006…

This title of selectyionated breeders was really difficult to obtain but we have been helped by the competent autorities that I would never thank enough ... 7 years of formalities, a surprise control of our kennel by a judge, a lot of personal work but I'm sure that our breed needed this kind of rare distinction ...Mu own regret : that my oldest dogs Garance, Jones, Junior and the other real actors of this distinction are not with us anymore, to see it because we mustn't forgot that this distinction is before all grant to exceptional dogs for their exceptional carrer (reproductive and shows) ...
